Fillers are preparations used for filling facial and neck wrinkles and cheekbones, as well as for lip augmentation and neckline and hand rejuvenation.
Various substances are used as fillers throughout the world (metacryl, collagen, hyaluronan), but it has turned out that the safest fillers are based on hyaluronic acid, produced from non-animal, non-toxic and hypoallergenic hyaluronic acid.
In the CEREC CENTAR, hyaluronic acid injection procedure is implemented under local anaesthesia and lasts between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on the region of application. Patients can return to their usual daily activities immediately after the procedure.
Depending on the type of the filler, the effect can last from 6 to 18 months, which is the time necessary for hyaluronic acid to degrade, but even after that the skin looks fresher than before the application of fillers, as hyaluronic molecules stimulate the synthesis of new collagen and elastin.
Side effects are rare, manifested as redness and swelling in the region of application within the first 24 hours, and, more rarely, as bruises which disappear in a couple of days. It is extremely rare that red nods form in the region of application, as an allergic reaction to hyaluronic acid. However, they disappear after treatment, not impairing normal facial expression. The effects of such aesthetic procedures are visible immediately.
